Sid Pollard and Ernest Howard Langley were (apparently) best mates in the Navy. Sid came home and he and Maud fell in love. She divorced Ernest Howard Langley and married Sid Pollard, they went to live in London. Maud took her children Ivy and Irene (Renee) with them, Dorothy (Dolly) and Lilly stayed in Birmingham with their Dad. Ernest and Maud probably lived at 'Holly Grove'. |
