Military Service |
Military service of Jack Rollason According to Anne nee Platt, Jack Rollason defected during Word War I and was court marshalled to a military execution. He escaped, took an assumed name and made an attempt to remarry Annie Matilda which failed. This put her in a most difficult legal position, apart from the financial one. After nine years she could have declared him "missing, presumed dead" and remarried. She just remained bitter to the end of her days. Jack had been a glassmaker before his military service. |
